The next PLEO support meeting for Parents and Caregivers of Youth and Young adults age 12 and up at SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH will be on May 17 2012.
PLEO is a volunteer driven, non profit self-help group to assist parents and caregivers of children, youth and young adults being treated for mental illness. We are not professionals and we are not a therapy group. We are all individuals with lived experience in supporting a family member living with mental illness. We share our experience and we give and receive peer support. PLEO is also connected to other organizations within the mental health community so we can provide education and information. We publish a monthly newsletter. We come together either in person, over the phone, or on the internet. We talk and we CARE.
We belief in hope. We take one day at a time.
We welcome and encourage all parents and caregivers to contact us, either for support and information, or to help in reaching out to other parents and their families.
Our parent support meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month at
SOUTHMINSTER UNITED CHURCH
15 Aylmer Avenue, Ottawa K1S 3X1
Room #6
Free parking is available in the rear of the church. Please enter through the back door off the parking lot.
Signs will be posted
