The Source is a social recreational Friday night group where people get together to do things and have fun. The Source is located at the McNabb Community Center on Percy Avenue and we meet in the Assembly Hall. While we often meet in the center we also meet in the community for example shooting pool, going to movies or a hockey game or enjoying dinner in a local restaurant. In Augsut we went for 2 nights camping at Murphy's Point. This is just a relaxed setting where participants treat each other respectfully in a non judgemental way. We have a kitchen at the center so the food is always good. In order to participate in this group you must fill in a registration form which you can find on this site and also sign a liability waiver. The weekly fee to help cover supplies and refreshments is $3. To see the current schedule for the Source go to www.pleosource.ca For more information leave a message at 613 321-3211
The Creative Buzz is a creative program where participants have the opportunity to explore their creative side - no experience necessary. Local artists will lead the participants through various projects that will allow them to explore and find self expression. It could be a way to discover a new interest or just a way to have fun with others over art and refreshments. The projects will be varied from abstract art, to pottery to sculpting to animation ... you get the idea. The weekly fee is $5 that covers supplies and refreshments. You must fill in the registration form prior to attending. Space is limited. We meet Monday afternoons at McNabb Community Center from 1 to 4 pm starting Sept 20. For more information leave a message at 613 321-3211 and we will call you back.
